An hour with a gorilla family.

A private trek on the slopes of the Virunga volcanoes, and a lodge at the edge of the forest.

On the slopes of the Virunga volcanoes, the forest is quiet until it isn't.

Permits are capped for each gorilla family, and a private trek gives your group its own family for the hour you spend with them: a mother, a baby, a silverback watching from the bamboo.

Singita Kwitonda Lodge sits on the edge of Volcanoes National Park, its suites looking out to the volcanoes. Between treks there are golden monkeys in the bamboo, the trail to Dian Fossey's grave, and long evenings by the fire.
